ANZCO

Background

When Ember Technology began working with ANZCO Foods in 2019, sales orders were received through multiple portals and manually entered across several internal systems. This fragmented process was time-intensive, prone to human error, and increasingly unsustainable as volumes grew.

After another provider was unable to successfully deliver an automation solution, ANZCO Foods engaged Ember Technology to design and implement its first robotic process automation initiative.

ANZCO Foods is a New Zealand-based organisation generating almost $2 billion in annual revenue and employing around 3,000 staff worldwide. With complex operational requirements and high volumes of sales orders, the business requires efficient and reliable systems to support its scale.

ANZCO Foods required a solution that could:

• Integrate multiple sales portals into a single workflow
• Eliminate manual data entry across systems

Since the initial deployment, the solution has scaled to ten active automated processes, all of which are run, maintained and monitored by Ember.

These include integrations supporting key customer relationships, notably Foodstuffs, where Ember’s RPA work enabled seamless integration between ANZCO and Foodstuffs systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data exchange across platforms.

Our Solution

Ember Technology took a structured, step-by-step approach to implementation, automating one portal at a time before progressively expanding the workflow. This phased rollout ensured stability, reduced risk and allowed ANZCO Foods to build confidence in automation as each stage was delivered.

The final solution fully automated ANZCO Foods’ sales order processing. All orders now move through a single centralised workflow and are automatically distributed across the required internal platforms, including Load Out.

This project marked ANZCO Foods’ first automation initiative and was delivered before comparable off the shelf solutions were available, setting a new standard for internal efficiency and innovation.
