Alex joined Ember in 2024 as a Cyber Security Engineer, handling daily client checks, managing major security projects and responding to alerts as they arise. He left school at 15 and began working as an electrical and electronics engineer before moving into networking. With more than 30 years in the industry, he brings broad experience across multiple sectors.

Detail is his strength. He enjoys digging into complex issues, understanding every layer behind a problem and guiding people through solutions. He is currently supporting larger projects with their long-term issues which is something he is both thriving in and enjoying.

Outside work, Alex enjoys motorbike day trips, painting, gaming and is learning the banjo.
