Hezekiah joined Ember Technology in September 2026 as our Cybersecurity Specialist. Day to day he watches over our in-house systems and our clients' environments, investigates anything that looks off, and maintains the tools that keep it all running. He also works directly with clients on strengthening their security, and is picking up governance and compliance work alongside it. He brings plenty of ideas for streamlining how we do things and automating the repetitive parts.

Curiosity is what he brings to the role. Alerts rarely tell the full story; there are nuances and caveats, and Hezekiah enjoys investigating them. He values Ember's tight-knit team, the people whose brains he can pick, learning from them and passing on what he knows.

His interest in computers goes back years. He studied Computer Science and Information Systems at university, drawn to technology and cybersecurity in particular. A summer internship in AI led to a Graduate AI Engineer role after he finished his degree, but when an opportunity came up in cybersecurity he took it. Three years in a managed security operations followed, defending a large client base against threats.

Outside work, Hezekiah plays basketball, follows the NBA, and is currently building a race car, fuelled by a fascination with cars and Formula 1.
