Saml has been a Technology Specialist at Ember Technology since 2022, and he continues to enjoy the role. He particularly appreciates the diversity of the work, which can include anything from developing production web applications and financial data pipelines to contributing to prototype embedded software projects. 

Prior to joining Ember, Sam studied Software Engineering at the University of Canterbury, a programme that deepened his passion for software development. 

Outside of work, Sam has a strong interest in theatre. He is an active performer and aims to participate in at least two productions each year. For him, the most rewarding part of his role is collaborating closely with clients to help bring their ideas to life - an experience he likens, in many ways, to performing for an audience.
