Small Change, Big Impact: Secure Business Information

Recently, we collaborated with a client to implement "sensitivity labels" as part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance data security. The great thing is it's quick to train staff and takes a few seconds to implement.

While the technology itself is detailed, the outcome is straightforward: information is clearly classified, so emails and documents are handled appropriately. This can include keeping sensitive communications internal or preventing certain information from being forwarded outside the business.

Tom, one of our Cybersecurity team members, was thrilled to hear that our client and his family had come to appreciate the value of this.  The client was surprised that it isn’t more widely adopted, particularly as it is so quick and easy to do. 

This is a simple, proactive security measure that can be added to most businesses with minimal disruption. By classifying information upfront, organisations can reduce risk and strengthen their security posture before issues arise, rather than reacting after the fact.
