Introducing Joel, a Technical Account Manager

Joel joined Ember in June 2024, bringing a diverse trade and engineering background shaped by years working across the United States and New Zealand. Having lived and worked in places including Colorado, Indiana and Akaroa, Joel gained hands-on experience across a range of technical and industrial roles, including time with Caterpillar.

After relocating to Christchurch in 2023, he joined Ember as an engineer before stepping into a Technical Account Manager role just three months later - keen to push himself beyond his comfort zone and lean into client-facing work. Joel is known for his empathy, strong communication skills and ability to genuinely understand clients from both a personal and professional perspective. Tenacious and people-focused, he thrives on building relationships and being part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Outside of work, Joel enjoys gaming, tinkering with computers and playing guitar, often performing at family charity shows and social gatherings.
