Windows 11 Update

ree

Is your team still running Windows 10?

As we head into the holiday season, we need to address a critical security milestone. The official cutoff for Windows 10 support passed last month on October 14, 2025.

What this means for you:

If your computers are still running Windows 10, they are no longer receiving automatic security updates or patches from Microsoft. In simple terms: your "digital immune system" has been turned off, leaving your network vulnerable to new threats that have emerged since October.

You have two options to stay safe:

  1. The Upgrade (Recommended): Move to Windows 11 immediately. If your current hardware is too old to support Windows 11, it is time to replace those machines. This ensures you have the latest speed, features, and security built-in.

  2. The Safety Net (Extended Security Updates): If you aren't ready to upgrade yet, we can enroll you in Microsoft’s paid ESU program. This buys you continued security patches for up to three years, though the cost increases annually.

Next Steps: Please don't head off for the holidays leaving your infrastructure exposed. If you are unsure about your status, reply to this email or give the Ember Technology team a call. We can quickly audit your fleet and get you covered!
